Steinbach resident Cyndy Friesen served as an elected school trustee from 2006-2018 and was employed with a crown corporation for 17 years as a human resource specialist.

Cyndy has been a lifelong community volunteer and was the recipient of the Manitoba Honour 150 award recognizing 150 people from across the province who have made a positive difference in their communities.

Her involvement with organizations includes Eastman Crisis Center Agape House, Soup’s On, Relay for Life and CEO sleepout.

Cyndy and family recently witnessed first hand the devastation of our health care system caused by PC and NDP cuts and neglect.
 

As MLA for Steinbach, Cyndy will work hard to:

FIX HEALTH CARE beginning with addressing the shortage of doctors in Steinbach where there are over 6,000 residents without a doctor.

RESTORE THE EDUCATION SYSTEM by providing stable and dependable funding based on student growth and inflation.

IMPROVE SENIORS CARE AND LONG- TERM CARE by creating an independent office of a Senior’s Advocate as well as ensuring better funding and staffing for care homes and home care workers.

WORK TOWARDS SAFER COMMUNITIES by addressing root causes, as there is a strong correlation between crime rates and addictions, mental health, poverty and homelessness.
