Real Change for Lagimodiere
Walt Nilsson was born in St. Boniface and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Walt has spent his career as a business owner, entrepreneur, research scientist and as a teacher and lecturer at Colleges and Universities.
Walt has an interest in botany, greenspace ecosystems and development, environmental sustainability and holds a Masters in Natural Resources Management.

More recently Walt has been a member of the Board of Directors and President of the Manitobans for Human Rights and presently is a member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of MTYP. Walt will be a strong and compassionate voice for the constituents of Lagimodiere.
As MLA for Lagimodiere, Walt will work to:

Take our system from health crisis back to health care;

Cover the costs of regulated therapy under Medicare & fund a 24/7 referral line for addictions treatment;

Provide genuine relief for the cost of living for you and your loved ones;

Deliver safer streets through investments in prevention and make ending homelessness a priority;

Act on climate change with a bold new plan.
