Uche received his doctorate in Agricultural Economics from Humboldt University in 2010 and has been a lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Winnipeg since 2012.

Before he joined the university, Uche worked as a Research Assistant at the Natural Resource Institute at the University of Manitoba — focusing on food security in Manitoba’s Indigenous communities.
