The Board of Directors of the Manitoba Liberal Party is pleased to announce the appointment of Cindy Lamoureux, MLA-elect for Tyndall Park, as the Interim Leader of the MLP.
Cindy was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in 2016 and will be sworn in for her third term in office as an MLA on Friday, October 20.
MLP President Terry Hayward said he is pleased the party has been able to move forward quickly with this appointment, and that the board will be working to set a date for a Leadership Convention, which the MLP Constitution requires be held not more than 18 months from the date of the call for a convention, or by April 2025.
