Manitoba Liberal Party 2021 Annual General Meeting

The MLP 2021 AGM will still be virtual but closer to the more traditional format of past AGMs.

Friday night will host 

• the required meetings of the associations (MYL, ML2SLGBTQ*, MLSA, MLIA, MLMA, and MLWA) where they hold their elections for table officers
• the Manitoba Liberal Party Business Meeting where we report to the membership on party
• a social event – the virtual trivia game that has proven popular when we have held them during the year.

Saturday will feature

• A new twist on the Women’s Breakfast : a virtual event with a souvenir Travel Cup
• Policy Resolution Session
• Q & A with the MLAs
• Campaign College on By-elections
• Liberalist Training
• Speech from the Leader
• Introduction to the Candidates who are nominated or who are about to be.

THE PURPOSE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING IS TO:

1. Receive Reports from the Executive
2. Elect the Officers of the Party in accordance with Articles 5.1 (iv)  & 5.2(ii) of the MLP constitution:  Election of the following officers will be held (two-year term):   President, Secretary, Director of Communications, and Director of Fundraising
3. Bring forth amendments to the MLP Constitution as specified by rules set out in the constitution.
4. Vote on Policy resolutions (cut-off for submissions is October 2nd, 2021)
5. Conduct other business appropriate to the Annual General Meeting of the Manitoba Liberal Party in accordance to the constitution.

and must be received by 5:00 p.m. on October 7th, 2021- 14 days prior to the start of the AGM.

Persons interested in submitting a amendment to the MLP Constitution may submit their amendments or policy resolutions for consideration at the Annual General Meeting to: executive.director@manitobaliberals.ca
