President's Welcome
Welcome to the 2024 joint meeting of the Manitoba Liberal Party and the Liberal Party of Canada (Manitoba). We meet on Treaty 1 Territory and the Homeland of the Metis Nation to review our past year, recognize the challenges we face and set the stage for building a stronger Liberal political force in Manitoba.

Having just gone through a General Election in Manitoba, our gathering comes as we are fully engaged in the Tuxedo by-election. Now more than ever, we need to come together in support of our Liberal Candidate, Jamie Pfau. We need to be a part of her campaign support team and help in providing the financial support necessary to run a successful campaign. This can be done with your participation.

It has been a pleasure working closely with Cindy Lamoureux, MLA for Tyndall Park and our Interim Leader since the General Election. Her efforts in the Legislature have been stellar as she continues to work on behalf of all Manitobans.

It has also been a pleasure working with those who stepped up before and after the General Election to sit on our Board of Directors to keep the work of the Manitoba Liberal Party focused and moving forward. Many challenges facing the MLP remain and will be addressed going forward. Tough decisions need to be made and new ways of operating will be necessary given the available resources. A critical job for the new Board of Directors will be to select a date and time plus set the rules for a Leadership Convention.

At this meeting, I encourage you to seek out our newly appointed Board of Directors and provide your comments, concerns and any issues you see facing us. Come with new ideas and solutions to problems. I am confident your participation in this meeting and future involvement will translate into success for the MLP, our Leader, and most importantly our members.
