for Lac du Bonnet
Terry Hayward is a long-time resident of southeastern Manitoba. He and his wife Donna have raised and educated their two sons in the region and are now involved in caring for their three grandchildren. They were also active in helping their parents age in place, something most seniors hope to do.
Terry’s career in agriculture and the foreign service took him to numerous locations across Canada and abroad, when he served as a Canadian Diplomat in the United States and New Zealand.
After 35 years in agriculture and the foreign service, Terry continued his volunteer efforts with local organizations: the Beausejour Brokenhead Minor Hockey and Arena Boards, Beausejour Brokenhead Soccer Association, Canadian Parents for French, and more recently with the Eastern Manitoba Concert Association (EMCA).
At his high school graduation, Terry was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate and Governor General’s Awards. In 2002, he received the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal for a lifetime of public service.
Terry has put his name forward as a candidate for federal and provincial political office in Southeast Manitoba four times and is running again to continue fighting for better health care, a stronger local economy, and improvements in public safety for the Lac du Bonnet Constituency.
As your next Member of the Legislative Assembly, Terry will be a strong advocate these issues. He will never stop working to improve the lives of all those who call southeastern Manitoba home.
