The Elmwood By-Election - spotlight on Regan Wolfrom

A by-election call is expected anyday in Elmwood. Regan Wolfrom, our Liberal candidate, has been standing up for people in Elmwood for some time. When the Kelvin Community Centre was threatened with closure he led the charge to save it, recognizing the importance of having positive activities for young people in the area. And even though the effort did not initially succeed, he has joined the Board at the Bronx Community Centre and is working with people there, not only on getting the best possible facility at the Bronx Centre, but he is also determined to get a small satellite facility in the Kelvin area so that there will be some ability to provide programs at the Kelvin Community Centre site.
And he has not stopped with this issue. He has been working for months pushing for a better plan for the Disraeli Bridge. Closing the Disraeli Bridge for a year and a half (the present plan), will create major traffic problems for people in north-east Winnipeg. Regan has proposed solutions, he has working hard in building public support holding a number of meetings, and he continues to be very active in working for people in the Elmwood constituency. Regan is very energetic. He has been meeting people and knocking on doors in the Elmwood constituency for months. He will be a welcome wind of change in the Manitoba Legislature. We need your help to get him elected.
