Consultations by a Manitoba Legislative Committee on Senate Elections

This week, consultations begin in Manitoba on the future of the Senate of Canada. These consultations will include members of the Liberal, NDP and Conservative Parties. Our Liberal representative on this committee will be Kevin Lamoureux, MLA for Inkster.

The goal of these consultations is to get input from Manitobans on the future of the Senate of Canada, whether Senators should be elected, and if Senators were to be elected, how this would be done.

Any one who wishes to make a presentation can come and present, although it is desireable that the individual or group call the Clerk of the Manitoba Legislative at 945-3636 to indicate their interest ahead of time.
