We need to make the Upper Fort Garry site a major heritage site in Manitoba

Upper Fort Garry was a tremendously important fort for more than 50 years during the 1800s. It is vital that we ensure that we have a major Upper Fort Garry heritage site on Main Street, with a much greater presence that the present, and still existing north gate. This morning Kevin Lamoureux and I were on Main Street promoting a strong future for the Upper Fort Garry heritage site.



Congratulations to the efforts of the Friends of Upper Fort Garry, to the Manitoba Metis Federation and all the others who have played a major role in helping to ensure that Upper Fort Garry will become a major historic site in Manitoba.
