People First Freedom Tour

The People First Freedom Tour left today to travel around western Canada. The effort is dedicated to helping people move from institutions into the community. Shirts headed "Free Our People" carred the words: "In the black of the earth, in the dark of the clay, lies a seed who is sleeping and dreaming of day."

Quite a number of the people present - people like Catherine Shaefer - illustrate the potential and the merit of helping people live in the community as opposed to being in an institution.
