Mother

Ten days ago, my mother, Betty Gerrard, had a stroke. Last weekend, I missed much of the Grey Cup activities to go to Saskatoon to be with her and with my father. Fortunately, mother has no paralysis, but the stroke has had a major effect on her ability to read, and her ability to interpret what she sees. At the moment she is recovering in the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, and hopes to be returning to her condominium soon.

The photo above of my parents, Betty and John, was taken a little over a month ago when they were visiting the Fort Whyte Nature Centre in Winnipeg.

We would like to thank all those who have been in to visit and who have been so helpful during this difficult time.
